"I liked having the top room but the metal spiral stairs are not for everyone. Ground rooms have very nice French windows. It would be very convenient to have a microwave station near the reception to warm up beverages, snacks... It is unusual that this wouldn't be available. There many shops, restaurants nearby. Oakland Mall is only a few minutes walk from the hotel."

"The service at Hyatt Centric Guatemala was exceptional. From the door man, guest services, room service, everyone was just wonderful. The hotel is lovely and has many cultural references in its entire space. The restaurant and food were excellent as well. Highly recommend if staying in the area. Will be booking Hyatt Centric from now on for my Guatemala trips."

"I stayed here last year, and chose to stay again. The room was a little dated, some nicks and dents especially in the bathroom, but the bed was large and comfortable, the a/c worked perfectly, and the hot water was reliable. Breakfast was wonderful, with a choice of several entrees, all with fruit, bread, juice, coffee, plantains, and refried beans. There were also some pastries available if you're still hungry! Location is great, many restaurants nearby, and the large Oakland Plaza Mall is less than a mile away. I felt very safe walking around the area."
