Our first room had mold issues that they kindly tried to clean, but the next morning when the water was shut off in the building (due to the city) we decided to leave. After speaking with the owner by phone, he moved us to another building and a lovely, clean room. We stayed 3 more nights and it was lovely. Both breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were very good, and the beautiful surroundings were very much enjoyed.

A well-run small hotel located very near the Avignon historic landmarks. The operator is very dedicated to his business and provides bed and breakfast style personal attention and local advice. He is very English-speaker friendly.

We had a lovely stay at this charming little B&B in Avignon, run by a very kind and warm-hearted couple. Neither of the owners spoke fluent English, but we were able to communicate perfectly well using a translation app. I also did my best to practice my elementary French, which made the experience feel even more personal and memorable. This hotel was the highlight of our Provence trip. The owner and the staff couldn’t have been more attentive. They are generous on their servings. The location of the hotel is perfec for both local and for day trips. There’s a map on the wall with recommend place for those like us who do road trips. We stayed 3 nights and wanted to stay longer. Right in the center of the action during the festival! We loved the location! Many amenities to enjoy- the breakfast was particularly convenient for early mornings.

This is one of the most wonderful and comfortable places I have ever stayed. The property is beautiful, the rooms are very large (even by US standards), the breakfast was fantastic, but the people were beyond all expectations. Henri, Veldi, Dominique, and Norwin (the folks who manage and run the place) are the most wonderful, welcoming, friendly and kind people you will meet as a traveler. Truly an exceptional visit. There are no downsides. Just fantastic.

I enjoyed my stay at the Hotel D’Angleterre while in Avignon. The front desk staff was very friendly and informative. Philippe was especially helpful in making recommendations for things to do.
