Top Grayling Lake Trailhead Hotel Reviews
Spruce Lodge
8/10 Good
"Overall, we were disappointed in our accomodations. We stayed 4 nights. The room was not very clean when we arrived. Specifically, the floors needed to be swept and there was no broom in the room. The shower was not as clean as I would expect a lodge to keep it. The corners looked like moldy ick, and there was hair and grime in the corners and along the edges. The towels smelled mildewy. The coffee house on the property was only open on one day while we were there....or we just missed them?? They didn't seem to have normal operating hours. We went elsewhere several times since they were closed. The TV is an AppleTV. We had issues with the remote. The room was large and if you weren't literally standing right in front of the TV holding the sensor in one hand and the remote in the other, you couldn't change the channel. Someone came and they got it to work, but it never really got any better. And it was apparent that they didn't really know how it was supposed to work. Also, this room was literally the only place that we felt 'stuffy' / 'sinusy' the whole time we were in Alaska. What was good: The lodge is newer and has nice finishings. Radiant floor heating!! I liked the table and kitchenette amenities. It was in a very convenient location, although the exterior wasn't well represented in the photos when we were choosing our stay. It's a motel. I think there were some other buildings on premise that we didn't see though. Proximity to Exit Glacier was good."

Cozy cabin built in 2020!
10/10 Excellent
"I can’t say enough wonderful things about this place and our host. I made a pretty spectacular travel mistake—I accidentally booked our stay for NEXT year! We arrived in Seward around 11:00 p.m., completely unaware of what I had done.I can only imagine our host’s surprise when we showed up that late at night expecting a place to stay! He could not have been more gracious. He welcomed us, made sure we were taken care of, and basically said, “We’ll figure everything out tomorrow.” That kindness set the tone for our entire stay. The place itself was absolutely spotless, incredibly comfortable, and so thoughtfully designed. You can tell that a tremendous amount of care has gone into both the property and the guest experience. And then there was Bobby! Their wonderful dog was SO happy to see us that you couldn’t help but be happy right along with him. We absolutely loved him.The entire property is special and wonderfully unique. There are thoughtful details everywhere, and it’s clear that these hosts genuinely care about creating a memorable experience for their guests.I would recommend this place to absolutely anyone visiting Seward. The property was wonderful, but the hospitality was even better. After the grace and kindness we were shown when we unexpectedly appeared at 11:00 p.m. a full YEAR early, I’d give them more than five stars if I could."
Seldovia House - Lost Lake
10/10 Excellent
"We had an awesome stay at the Seldova House. We had great communication with the owner and knew exactly what to expect. No issues at all with check in and check out. The place itself was exactly what we expected it to be. The location was close to town but far enough away to feel like we were secluded as well. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to friends."
