Apartments in Gunma Prefecture

"Large and modern apartments which we were impressed with, we liked the movie projector and room setup. Well-stocked with even some laundry detergent which we found helpful. Nearby 7-11. Only thing to note to future travellers is that it’s about a 15 min walk from the station / main town area (we didn’t find this to be an issue however, and you can walk via some of the quieter back streets), but would recommend getting a taxi if you don’t have a car and are coming from the station with a lot of...

"My group needed a place to stay for 10 days. Rakuten Stay House was perfect for our needs. It was conveniently located, close to shopping and dining, and well equipped kitchen if we wanted to stay in. We would certainly stay there again."

"The place was super clean and comfortable. Close to the Kinugawa Onsen Station. However it’s a bit far if your main interest is to go see the shrines in Nikko. No convenience stores nearby. It would take good 20 min to walk to the nearest grocery store. 2 min by car. It’s a great place if you have a car. "

"The hotel and staff are fine. My issue was with our particular room. It had a nice modern kitchen, with walls that were red brick, two different odd wall paper, and a beach mural. The ceiling was green with pink trim. The two twin beds were mismatched in style and height. The couches and bedding sheets were dirty with stains. As I look through their advertised rooms, I don’t see pictures of our particular room."

"Great place, newly redone, very clean, everything you need in the place, right near one of the ski gondalas, near to Libushi taproom, near the main village Street, and great pricing on skiing gear. Definitely recommend!"

"Vastly over-priced for what is effectively an old single-room storefront(?) turned into a youth hostel. Five beds in a single room, with wallpaper peeling off, and all sorts of weird attempts at “renovation.” For the price, could be good for five backpackers. For two people expecting something worthy of the Vrbo/Expedia brand, not so much."
