"This is a decent place to stay if you want to save money and be somewhat close to Lisbon. Hotel staff was nice but they barely acknowledged us (maybe due to us being tourist). The bed sheets had a weird stain on them and the toilet in the room was oddly shaped. They’re doing construction on the first floor and we could hear them start exactly at 5am. Hotel itself is about a 15 min uber/drive to Lisbon and is located next to a camping ground. As a female I felt safe walking in the morning and often saw others sitting on a park bench towards the evening. Be aware that the hotel closes their gates after a certain time in at night but that is for security. "

"Everything about my visit exceeded expectations. My room was clean and spacious with plenty of outdoor space perfect for watching the storm outside. I loved the architectural elements throughout the building which was gorgeous to look at especially the outside details. I enjoyed the indoor pool and can’t wait to come back when the season opens for the outdoor pool. I had a great breakfast in the morning to start my day with many choices and a comforting dinner at the end of the day when I was exhausted after walking all over the parks about a 10 minute drive away. The building was quiet at night and the rooms climate controlled. I will definitely be back it was an excellent value for the price and convenient to the language exam center a 10 minute walk away. The front desk staff anticipated that I spoke English and served me with care. The staff were very friendly and patient as I struggled to speak Portuguese which I also appreciated. "
