"Great pub with rooms. Rooms are quirky and individual and very comfortable. I was in a cozy double, which looked out over the road and the picnic area of the ‘posh’ chip shop; this was not an issue apart from no net curtain which meant I either had to close the blind and be in dark or creep around - needs to be rectified please"

"A very warm welcome and perfect 4 night stay. We didn't use the leisure facilities, but had 2 very nice meals in the restaurant. There is also a car charger outside reception, which was easy to arrange with reception. We just had a studio, but it was very well equipped with a full kitchen with full oven and even a dishwasher. I have no hesitation in recommending and know we will return one day."

"The owner Phil welcomed us on the first day. He was totally amazing. The lodge was lovely. We were originally booked into Willow but had to change to Briar as there was a flood in Willow before we arrived. Dee Dee ensured we still had use of the hot tub which was lovely. The swimming pool is very large and you can book alone time in there which is nice. Excellent breakfast . Love the lodges in forest setting. So lovely. Nice fixtures and fittings. Excellent walk in shower. TV with three channels. Fridge in room and tea and coffee facilities. Highly recommend. Will definitely return. Lovely atmosphere and excellent care. "
