"Overall, a nice getaway. The property is somewhat remote, private and beautiful. The house is close enough to the water to enjoy spectacular views. We spotted herons, egrets, rails, osprey, and two types of gulls. There were plenty of crabs in the swampy area visible from the pier. There were also lots of butterflies.We enjoyed spending time on the deck, and the house was comfortable.The second bathroom/third bedroom is downstairs, which one of us found inconvenient. Otherwise, we give this property a high recommendation."

"The place was so outstanding that this was our second stay. We wanted to return for several reasons. The host was wonderful, very accessible and friendly. The home has a unique and open design that is designated to enjoy the view. We noticed that the deck railing and part of the dock was a little weather-worn the first time but was newly replaced this visit! Happily, the deck railing was lowered so we could see more of the view when sitting outside. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed as well as in the bathrooms, plus all the comforts & extras provided around the home such as games and books. We utilized the kayaks and equipment to paddle to the ocean for two amazing private beach days! We tried to be hyper-careful about the marsh tide schedule but it fluctuated extremely so be careful. (We got a bit stuck in the marsh mud one day and had to paddle back in near dark another evening - opps. But fun adventures and all worked out!) If you're looking for privacy, extreme relaxation and some kayaking, this is the place. I suppose other visitors ventured out to restaurants but we stayed put and enjoyed every minute of solitude. A well-needed reset for us."

"We had a great time fishing and exploring the Eastern Shore and Virginia Beach. The cabin was beautiful and secluded. We really enjoyed sitting on the dock and fishing every evening. There were plenty of deer, bunnies, birds, and crabs to keep us company. Our dog loved playing frisbee and taking walks in the evening. There are lots of fun things to do in the area if you love the outdoors. If you don't mind a little longer drive, Virginia Beach is a great day trip with lots of nice beaches."
