"This is our second time staying at The Charlotte Hotel. The rooms have a nice traditional feel. Quiet location yet right in town with an easy walk to restaurants (including the new Bread & Butter), shops, and the waterfront. On street parking is plentiful and we've been able to park right in front of the hotel each August stay. Onancock is a peaceful place to stay on the Chesapeake Bay. A great value...we would 100% stay here again."

"My family and I vrbo twice a year so we can all get together. I have a feeling this will be our new summer rental. It was perfect.. on the lake and the views were awesome. Floating in the pool looking at the lake! Kids fished and went kayaking. It's a great place for a family . There's something for everyone."

"Nice place out on the Eastern Shore! Loved being on the water and catching crabs. The pup liked being able to chase her ball and meet new animals (crabs, big shore birds). There are also deer, rabbits and foxes so if you have a "chaser" make sure to keep them on a leash. Close to beaches and parks, one with a dog beach."

Unique Tangier Cottage w/ Chesapeake Bay Views!

"Very nice property that made you feel at home. Super clean and had everything you needed. The host communicated promptly and had relatives on the island who welcomed us and made sure we we got to see the museum, even though it was closed! The island is unique to explore and learn about and its people are very friendly. Highly recommend whether a history buff, nature lover, or want some R & R."

Blissful Oasis | Waterfront Seclusion with a Dock!

"Overall, a nice getaway. The property is somewhat remote, private and beautiful. The house is close enough to the water to enjoy spectacular views. We spotted herons, egrets, rails, osprey, and two types of gulls. There were plenty of crabs in the swampy area visible from the pier. There were also lots of butterflies.We enjoyed spending time on the deck, and the house was comfortable.The second bathroom/third bedroom is downstairs, which one of us found inconvenient. Otherwise, we give this property a high recommendation."

As close as you can get to the ocean south of Chincoteague

"The place was so outstanding that this was our second stay. We wanted to return for several reasons. The host was wonderful, very accessible and friendly. The home has a unique and open design that is designated to enjoy the view. We noticed that the deck railing and part of the dock was a little weather-worn the first time but was newly replaced this visit! Happily, the deck railing was lowered so we could see more of the view when sitting outside. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed as well as in the bathrooms, plus all the comforts & extras provided around the home such as games and books. We utilized the kayaks and equipment to paddle to the ocean for two amazing private beach days! We tried to be hyper-careful about the marsh tide schedule but it fluctuated extremely so be careful. (We got a bit stuck in the marsh mud one day and had to paddle back in near dark another evening - opps. But fun adventures and all worked out!) If you're looking for privacy, extreme relaxation and some kayaking, this is the place. I suppose other visitors ventured out to restaurants but we stayed put and enjoyed every minute of solitude. A well-needed reset for us."
