"We were pleased with our 2 night stay. Well located for the newly ‘renovated’ historic area with the city walls, dancing man and Tudor House all nearby. Well located for cruise ships and Isle of Wight ferries. Staff were polite and helpful. We enjoyed the pool and also the spa treatments. Plenty of restaurants and pubs within an easy walk. The communal areas were nicely furnished and the room was comfortable. Check in was easy and available at the stated time. Parking was good and similarly priced to nearby commercial car parks. We had two small room issues which were dealt with very quickly by calling reception. I would stay there again."

"We was supposed for the cost of the room that no real adequate cooling system was in place , instead - stepping into a room that was hotter than the rest of hotel we had already been and hotter than outside the building . Might I suggest in hotter months that windows are opened and curtains closed to allow circulation of air through the room , it was the most uncomfortable stay we’ve had in a hotel in the summer time . A small fan was just not efficient enough . So to allow some sort of cooler room , windows were opened , curtains closed and fan was put by window to allow cooler air flow , though as I joked to the reception person , I think sleeping in the corridor would be better after he offered me ice though I’m not sure where he expected me to put the ice . The restaurant staff exceeded themselves , so very polite and welcoming . A nice relaxed meal that was 100% out of this world . I would recommmend 100% people to visit hotel for food , but to stay wouldn’t recommend especially in summer months where the hotel does not have any kind of A/C for the cost of the room . Once again - restaurant staff - keep up the good work !!"

"Very good value for money. The room was a little tired. The bathroom had been improved and was a good standard. Housekeeping - the room had quite a few cobwebs and consequently there were a couple of those spindley spiders! Also the bathroom fan needed a good dusting. We ate in the pub on two nights and the food was reasonably priced and good quality. The pub was pleasantly lively and the location was good for a walk and a nice coffee shop around the corner."

"Great experience from the start to the finish of our stay. Tilly welcome us at the gate with a smile.making check in process nice and easy. Tilly and her husband was very friendly and helpful. Kids love it, great location and very well looked after site. We will be back. Thank you."

"A beautiful room with extremely comfortable beds and a lovely bathroom too. The staff were very friendly and efficient. We didn’t eat at the hotel as there are plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby. It would be a pleasure to stay again."
