"I left after the first night. This company won’t talk to you through any of the proper channels like VRBO website/app or phone call. I contacted them several times ahead of my stay asking about facility access and they never responded. "The Hen House cottage was a great place to stay for our trip in the Durham area. The village of Brandon is a beautiful location for going for walks in the countryside and with a great pub/ restaurant called the Bay Horse Inn on 50m away it’s a perfect place to stay. The village is very close to the historic house, chapels and gardens of Ushaw and Brancepeth Castle, which are both excellent places to visit!! Would happily stay here again when visiting the area as it’s a perfect little...

"Stunning! Everything was amazing. Lovely body room with a big bathroom very comfortable and clean.The castle is so beautiful with the combination of really old carved furnitures, beautiful decorations in every little corner and windows with a more modern twist in the bar and dining room. The dinner was excellent as well as the breakfast I highly recommend this hotel it’s a very good value for the money "
