"Fantastic hotel: location, amenities, service, food, room qualities, views...Pricey, with all the usual ancillary charges (the famous "resort fee"), but overall well worth it given the (mid-tier) quality of other north shore hotels. The design of the property alone, with its vistas of Hanalei Bay around every corner, plus the beautifully appointed rooms and great staff, makes it all worthwhile. Our only minor quibble is the service can be slow at times, especially at their main restaurant and bar, and with their bell (luggage) services. This might have been that they were understaffed given the slightly off-season time we were there, but at these luxury price points slow service, for whatever reason, should not be tolerated. To pay north of $1K per night I expect my food to arrive within a reasonable amount of time (say, within 20m). After all, while the food is very good it is not Michelin-starred (so why the long wait times...?) In the grand scheme of our stay this was minor and we would definitely return."

"This is the fourth rental I’ve stayed in in Hanalei, and it was easily the best. The bedrooms were comfortable, the living room is extremely spacious, and the views from the outdoor deck are beautiful. It was also stocked full of kitchen and beach essentials. Can’t recommend it enough!"

"The Dream Vintage Surf Cottage was just what we (myself, husband, 11 yo son and 13 yo daughter) were looking for. It was clean, cozy and well-decorated and the location can't be beat. You can hear the ocean from the house and it's hardly a block from the beach. I'm already missing my morning walks along the ocean. The walk to town is also so quick and easy with gorgeous views! We would stay there again in a heartbeat. "

"Paulele!! Perfect home in a perfect spot near Hanalei Bay! The views of the mountains through all the dense foliage around the home were particularly special. Tyler could not have been more accommodating in arranging our stay and giving us local tips. We found the house full of character, clean as a whistle and an ideal home away from home for a relaxing respite. We really enjoyed it in the rain and even came to adore the roosters who woke us up every morning. Everything we needed for our little walks to the beach was close at hand. Being near town worked so well for us. This was our first trip to Hawaii, and we cannot wait to return to Kauai! "
