Nauvoo Temple House Hotel

8/10 Good

"This is a very old building, so the floorboards were creaky. The carpet wasn't the best, but the room was very spacious. The location to the temple was wonderful. We could just walk over. It was a comfortable room. The bed was firm, my husband liked that. They had a fan that was very noisy, but it made it so you couldn't hear others in the building. I would stay again. They did have a lot of stairs, so if you have problems with that you should look elsewhere."

Heritage Hotel Quincy

8/10 Good

"It's a perfectly fine local hotel near the riverfront in Quincy. It's obviously an older property that has been been renovated fairly recently. From my perspective, that gives it a certain amount of charm, particularly at the price, which I thought was very reasonable. Others who prefer the cookie-cutter predictability of large chain hotels that look and feel exactly same regardless of where they are located might feel more comfortable staying elsewhere, though they'll almost certainly pay for the absolute familiarity they seek. Either way, I found the place to be clean. The rooms were very spacious, is somewhat austere. The free breakfast was simple but tasty. And the staff I interacted with were very nice. For a couple of nights, I thought it was just fine."

Riverview Cabin Located Along the Scenic Mississippi River

8/10 Good

"Everything was great. I really enjoyed the cozy cabin atmosphere. The floor is an uneven and that’s something to be aware of. Also, we arrived late at night so it was difficult to see the entrance but by daylight it’s easy !!! cute little cabin by the river."

Newly Renovated Full Family Apt. - Centrally Located in Nauvoo - some stairs

8/10 Good

"Exterior of the building is somewhat run down, but interior is great. Clean, comfortable living space. Other than a missing battery in TV remote and towel bar missing in bathroom, everything was good."

A four bedroom hobbit hole style home five minutes from historic Nauvoo Illinois

10/10 Excellent

"This place is full of quirky items. It was fun looking around at everything! There are plenty of books to read and some games to play. We even found some costumes to dress up as hobbits for a photo shoot! There is a microwave and a really fancy stove. There is a full size kitchen sink and a small prep sink area plus a dishwasher. There is also a washer and dryer. The house had a large fancy bathtub in one bathroom and a walk-in shower in the other bathroom. The toilets are bidets. The place is absolutely amazing!Didn't find a regular coffee maker. Did have the fancy type you add coffee grounds to a filter and pour boiling water over it. We did find all kinds of flavoring syrups for coffee. And some food spices as well.Driveway, parking area, and walkway to the house is rough gravel landscape rock. It's not easy to roll your luggage on it's wheels on the walkway or the grass, so pack a little lighter in your bags so you can carry them if need be. This house is not handicapped accessible for somebody in a wheelchair. Someone with a walker would encounter significant difficulty.A winery is located very close to the house. We went to Vickers geodes to hunt for geodes. We filled 6 five gallon buckets in 5 hours with a party of four people. Make sure to call ahead and make an appointment with Johnny. Bring a small pickaxe as you will be moving a lot of dirt. The neighbor cats like to visit but are not allowed in the house. They are extremely friendly and vocal."

Large home with 35+ guests : 10 Minutes from Nauvoo

10/10 Excellent

"This house was the perfect place for our big family reunion at Nauvoo. Our kids really enjoyed the pool. The extra chairs and extra tables in the garage made it so we had enough room for all of us to eat in the dining area. The rooms and beds were clean and perfect for our large group. It is a beautiful location. We saw deer one morning and great evening sunsets over the Mississippi River from the porch. I highly recommend this house."
