"Everything was good from start to finish. I was celebrating a significant birthday with my wife and the staff ahead of our visit were very good in ensuring that my wife's plans were taken care of. The restaurant provided a range of varied food choices and the quality was good. Overall a very pleasant stay."

"Booked as I had a course starting early morning nearby. Price was good particularly when factoring the use of the pool and sauna. The room was large and clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The car park was well lit with plenty of parking available. I had an evening meal and breakfast. My stay was on a Sunday night which has a reduced menu with the main meal options being a choice of Pizzas or burgers. I opted for the beef burger which was delivered delicious. Plenty of choice for breakfast which was also delicious. Made good use of the pool and sauna during my stay and found the pool sauna and changing room clean and well maintained. There are lockers in the changing room which you need a pound coin to operate. To prevent overcoming you need to book a time slot at reception. Minor minus points. Include de missing privacy flap to the spy hole on the room side of the door, no usb or usb charging points in the room and no usb or plugs near the bed. Would also like to see porridge as an option for breakfast"

"An old building and we had stayed just once before the current owners took on the hotel. The staff were friendly, excellent prices for drinks both in the restaurant and bar. The Sri Lankan food was superb, tasty and full of flavour, next time I'll as for it to be hotter. The room was clean, comfortable despite being in an old building. Bathroom spotless, lovely fluffy towels, perhaps a little smell of damp in them. We will certainly return."
