"This was a perfect place to crash! Note, this studio is very small but comfy/cozy. There is only one small sink shared between the kitchenette and bathroom. The neighborhood is very nice and it’s a quiet retreat. We lived sitting on the patio listening to the ocean!"

"Great stay overall. The space was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described, but what stood out most was how thoughtfully everything was set up. It had all the basics covered plus a lot of small details and extras that made the stay easier and more enjoyable without feeling overdone.Check-in was simple, communication was easy, and the place felt well maintained and genuinely cared for. It was one of those rentals where you can tell the host actually thought about the guest experience instead of just furnishing a space. My daughter loved the play area. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area."

"Overall experience was good and home was very clean with most everything we needed for our stay on the west side of the island. We had just left the Captain Cook side of the island and so it was nice to see a more tropical climate. There was a mixup on the check-in time but the owner was very gracious. The home came well furnished and the interior decor was very nice. Kitchen was nice as we cooked most meals in house. Only wish it had a dishwasher. Beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed the back patio lanai. Bathrooms and linens were very nice. There are neighbors nearby but with all the tropical vegetation surrounding the house, you feel like you're all alone (except for the house right across the street). The kids enjoyed seeing roosters and chickens in the yard. It came furnished with beach gear which was nice for kids!Apparently there's a feral hog problem all over the island so the driveway gate has to be closed at all times."

"Right on the ocean cliff, unobstructed 180 degree view of ocean, sea spray from waves breaking on lava! There are some things I would like others to know about this property, that is not in the listing. The master bedroom has a king size bed, the driveway is very steep and a taller vehicle may not fit into the garage, there is a full size refrigerator in the garage, so food storage is ample. There is a closet full of beach goodies, including 2 large coolers, 7 beach chairs, 4 beach umbrellas, 2 snorkel set-ups, a set of flippers, many boogie boards . Does no have a barbecue grill and there is no way to directly access the ocean from this house, no stairs or gate. Overall, if you want to be close to the ocean, with the sound of crashing waves, this is the place!"

"My family had the most amazing time. Matt was an incredible host! From all the amenities to opening coconuts for my eager daughter. He showed us all around the property and was very knowledgeable. We will definitely be back and I will tell everyone I know to stay at the amazing house. Thank you for all the hospitality. We are home now and missing it so much "

"There was a shortage of some items which were necessary like enough towels and toilet paper. it would have also been nice to have had a mini split for air conditioning because it was incredibly hot and humid and the overhead fans just did not help much. The cushions on the chairs were not clean and it would have been nice to have at least one or two extra chairs for the dining table, after all, the listing did say up to 6 people. We had 5 and only 4 chairs for table. Otherwise, the house was comfortable. A bonus was the neighbors dogs. They were so cute and friendly. "

"Great family getaway. We enjoyed traveling into Hilo to snorkel, hike the caves, and visit Rainbow falls. We stayed for a week and a half and drove every main highway and stopped at all the state parks. The home was the calm between all the activities. We walk the neighborhood and went down to the park to look and hike around the ocean cliffs. We played cards and cooked together. The locals we ran into were very helpful on where to visit and the best food."
