"The plough inn was very helpful when I booked the wrong night and needed to change it, the plough could have just kept the money but agreed to the change. The room and bed were comfortable, the shower however didn’t work properly, it was a small matter overall in our stay. Breakfast was excellent staff very helpful."

"Location..it has beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. ( need a car) Rooms are very comfortable, tea /kettle etc. Stairs are a little steep. staff are lovely ,had a very pleasant stay. We arrived Saturday lunch time, they had a party of 40 in, but fitted us in and it was delicious! staff attentive and it arrived quickly so all good, so I am very sad ( and surprised ) to say breakfast was poor ! we didn't opt for the buffet and cooked ,rather just the cooked, it took ages to appear and when it did it was disappointing to say the least, and not worth the money such a shame ! We then came back for Sunday lunch ,the food was nice but service took a long time, we were not asked if we would like any condiments or if we needed anything else..we had to ask for the dessert menu..benefit of the doubt they were short staffed but.............! None of this would actually stop us booking again, but wouldn't bother with breakfast or Sunday lunch!"

"Lovely big room with ensuite facilites. Very nice crisp white bedding & soft, white towels. Breakfast was good & we had a lovely evening meal on one of the nights. The staff were friendly. Certain parts of the hotel would benefit with a freshen up but I guess that's down to finances and we still had a lovely time. Slightly confused by the breakfast times as they were different to the website which stated Saturday & Sunday breakfast was until 10.00am when it was actually 9.30am. This was our second visit, though it's quite a few years since our last stay, and we would return in the future."

"Just had an amazing stay at this hotel, booked a dog-friendly suite which was superb! Separate lounge with lovely views over the fields, very comfortable bed and beautiful bathroom with standalone bath. The staff were very friendly and the food at the hotel was very tasty and a reasonable price too. Had a great stay and will certainly be returning."
