"The Lodge was very clean and comfortable. It was out of Hexham but only a short drive away. The views were spectacular, as it wasn't a race day, it was very quiet. The kitchen was reasonably well equipped but the pans seemed old and badly scratched, there were no scissors or fish slice. Both of which I provided. The larger shower room needs a rubber mat in the shower, the base is very smooth and slippery when wet.On the whole we enjoyed our stay, and would stay again. Good value for money."

"We greatly enjoyed our weeks stay at the Gin Gang. It is an excellent base for walking. We walked along parts of the Hadrian's Wall path, the Tyne Trail and at Kielder Water. The cottage was comfortable and had all the amenities we could wish for. We hope to go back there to do some more walking in the area."
