Perfect location within walking distance to downtown, the Musky, and the Lumberjack Competitions. It has a comfy firepit and gorgeous views of the river. If you are a reader, there are so many cozy spots to curl up with a good book in and outside the cabin. When we come back to Hayward, I definitely know where I will be staying again!! "The house is a strange u-shape layout that is not reflected in the listing. The floor needs immediate repair, which is evidently scheduled, however, the boards are popping up in places causing some splinters, etc. The home is warm and otherwise comfortable. All the appliances work. I would suggest an alternative to the entry. I found the lock box for the key very frustrating. Also, it should be noted that guests are responsible for shoveling now and clearing the drive. "
