Checked in with no problems, very friendly staff. Room was large enough and comfortable for the 4 of us (Suite), anything extra we needed, the staff made it happen (asked for extra pillows, towels, bedding). The restaurant and bar was amazing, great food, great prices. The included breakfast didn’t disappoint. Simply mark what items you would like and what time you’ll be dining, the staff makes it available, and it was delicious with great variety. The area was astounding, water front, with a...

Great restaurant. Excellent breakfast.

This historic inn in the South Jutland region of Denmark is a real gem with delightful, friendly staff who make guests welcome right from the moment they arrive. It apparently is not frequented by very many North Americans and, but for the fact my wife and I have family in the area, we would not have discovered it. It is a wonderful place to stay - for whatever reason you are visiting the area - and I can't speak highly enough of the fantastic staff who took care of us at the inn, including both...

We found Al's Kloster quiet and peaceful. This beautiful bed and breakfast is just outside of Sonderborg (5-10 min), so you do need transportation... but, once you get here it is well worth it! It sits in a beautiful setting and there are trails, right from your door, that you can take down to the water and beyond, along the coast. The rooms are all different. They are clean and best of all the beds are good... European style with a down quilt as a blanket. Enjoy!

Nice hotel. God food. Service first class

The room and the view were stunning and so enjoyable ! The Spa is nice , but quite overpriced. Independently owned . Would love to see it owned by the hotel, so you could use the pool without added cost. The pool room though was so steaming hot that my breathing could not tolerate it.

I had the pleasure of staying two weeks at the Hotel Strand. The staff was wonderful, the location was very convenient, and the breakfast was so good. I will always here when visiting Sonderberg.

Very friendly staff - breakfast was great!

Very lovely all round, clean rooms, lovely staff, good breakfast, free parking.

The room was clean and functional...well located. Suggest a full length mirror either inside the closet or on the side. The only one was small and round and for tall clients

Our two teenage daughters, got to live out there princess dreams! Ask reception how to get into the tower - it’s a hike, but the view is amazing! The castle is generally a little rundown (but nothing that ruins the grandeur of this once stately home) Both our rooms were beautifully decorated and very clean! Based on reviews, we had decided not to have dinner at the castle, but there are some cute options near. We did have breakfast and it was excellent, with everything you may need to start...

The lights in the bathroom could be brighter. Reception was fantastic
