"The Hotel New Otani Osaka is a beautiful hotel that meets all definitions of a 5-star hotel. Upon arriving, a doorman opened our doors welcoming us warmly, helped take out the luggage, and smoothly handed our belongings to a bellman to be taken for check-in. We were sincerely greeted by multiple Otani employees, and you felt like they were waiting to assist you in meeting any request. This was all so nice that it had me checking my Hotel.com app to see if I book us into a $600+/night luxury hotel. Fortunately, it was a great deal for the next three nights and around $175/night for a room with a view of the castle.
Check-in was easy and a bellhop brought our luggage up to our room and then showed us the amenities of our room. Spend that little extra money on a room that overlooks the park and the Osaka Castle. Stunning!!! Day or night, the view is gorgeous. Our room was very large with a refrig, safe, lots of closet room, and if you need to work or have guests before an event, definitely enough room and seating. The bathroom was big, a soak in the tub was perfect, and most important, it was sparkling clean like the rest of the room.
Other important things: the area around the hotel is very safe, you have easy access to all the trains, there is always a taxi out front, and there are multiple very nice restaurants and boutiques within and nearby the hotel. The New Otani was a perfect last stay for our trip to Japan. Absolutely lovely."
