"It was awesome! The property is on a large tract of land so we could spread out. Fire pit, chairs outside for star gazing and a hot tub. Our son brought a “bouncy house” for the 4 grandchildren to have fun. Our other son did the Iron Man. This location gave us multiple spots along the biking and running routes to cheer him on. Lake Placid is only 20 min away. The best thing is the home owner gave us a phone number so we could talk directly instead of waiting for an email. (We were able to enter just a little early on arrival day.) Thank you for helping us to create a family memory!"

"Loved how genuinely hospitable and real this lodging felt! Not to mention the warm and welcoming owner, the spectacular view of Whiteface mountain (so close that I felt that I could reach out and touch it), the majestic music on arrival, and the oodles of personality in every inch of it.......the likes of which is so missing in the cookie-cutter lodgings that we are so accustomed to! It is an experience to stay here and I am grateful for that experience. Can't wait to return. TY, Walter!! P.S. The room was so comfortable - a mix of ADK elegance and nostalgic usefulness!"
