"Lovely setting, great welcome, food superb, staff friendly and helpful We had the suite (kingfisher) which was an excellent room except for a radiator being stuck on in the bathroom. The lady in charge (lovely lass) managed to get it sorted as the outside temp was up in the 30’s!!! If I have any criticism of the room, a little use of bleach would have gone a long way but please don’t let that put you off. The place is very very good. "Food poisoning the first night, rooms hotter than the sun, zero water pressure in the bathrooms. Constantly chasing staff for the most simple things. They ran out of ice. No fans for the rooms. No one collecting glasses or emptying an ash tray. Asked for a coffee in the morning and waited 15 minutes.. got up to ask where it was "oh i couldn't find you" yeah because you were in the kitchen flirting with the chef.. Could be such a wonderful place, if the staff weren't recreating Fawlty Towers"

"The rooms were so hot couldn’t be helped in this heat but couldn’t sleep art all , gave us a fan but it wasn’t much good , breakfast was ok but on the first morning run out of orange juice and coffee machine wasn’t working that well . On the Saturday there was a wedding party music was loud into the night nobody told us in advance"

"If you are lanning to stay more than one day, PLEASE TAKE YOUR SHOWER GEL. Room are not cleaned daily. Continental Breakfast was OK. Weather became colder in evening & at night, there is no heating. When I requested, she can ot start central heating as these are summer months. There is no portable heater. Be careful, befora you book this palce"

"Room very clean & tidy looks like a recent refurbish which was very well done , the only thing was the mattresses could do with renewing , which is the only negative thing to say about our stay was able to help ourselves to tea ,coffee etc when needed . "There's no AC, one small fan inside the room Temp upper 90's..was assigned a room on 3rd floor- no elevator, stated " fully booked " though we were the first 3 guess to check in.,found a spider on the tub! Did not sleep/rest, checked out as soon as the sun rise !!! There's supposed to have breakfast, did not see or told where, found time in the room...starts at 7 am( cannot wait to get out ans wait. Been traveling for years, first time to have this experience/nightmare!!!"

If a client is using derogatory foul audible language aimed at women in the bar area they should be asked to stop by the manager/bar tender - it’s not pleasant to be subjected to this if you’re sitting quietly trying to enjoy your own drink . It would be great value & a positive accolade for a simple continental breakfast to be included in the nightly rate instead of...
