Great Location and has a generator!

Great location for sure. We were there during Hurricane Helene which wasn't the most fun, but thankful to have some power after the storm due to the generator. Host was accommodating!

Christmas in Highlands

We had a very nice stay at Whiteside Perch. The hosts had decorated for Christmas, which was a nice touch. The views were great, and indoor and outdoor living spaces were very nice. The house was in a quiet neighborhood that was good for kids and dog walking. The host was in regular communication. We would stay again for sure.

Treehouse with Mountain Vistas

The house was is accurately listed. The location is fantastic to enjoy both Highlands and Cashiers. Communication was stellar. Access to the house was easy. The kitchen and living room are perfect for cooking and relaxing. screen porch off the master bedroom has amazing views and a wonderfully cool breeze.

First, the positives: the view from the upstairs master was outstanding, and the bed, sheets, and towels were all exceptionally comfortable. The host is very communicative and very much on top of things. Location is also great.The not so good things: there is significant road noise from Hwy 64, so that takes away just a little from the tremendous view. This is an older home with the bathrooms updated a bit, but the house needs some attention. Both sets of double doors leading out to the two decks were close to impossible to lock and unlock because of their age. We saw several large black ants throughout the house, but nothing alarming like a huge colony of them.Overall, this is a house with a nice location and view, and a very responsive host, so it’s a pretty good value for the money. Just don’t expect anything to be new or super luxurious.
