"We have stayed at this hotel twice, and overall we think it is a great place. The breakfast is excellent, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The main area we think the hotel should improve is the elevator system. Although the automatic system assigns guests to specific elevators, it does not really save time during rush hours. In fact, there were times when we had to take the stairs because the elevator took nearly 20 minutes to arrive, and by the time it reached our floor, it was already completely full. In addition, from outside the elevator it is difficult to tell which floor the elevator is currently on, so it is hard to decide whether it is better to continue waiting or just take the stairs instead. Overall, we still enjoyed our stay and appreciate the hotel’s service and facilities, but improving the elevator experience would make a big difference for guests during busy hours."

"The room was a good size and centrally located. The front desk staff were not rude, but not pleasant. I had some basic questions about check-in, and they were not helpful. Also had an issue with them charging an additional deposit of hundreds and hundreds of dollars, and they basically told me I was imagining things, even though it clearly shows up on my credit card statement. Even after checkout, the two charges are still out there and not finalized and do not match with what was agreed upon when I made the reservation. There were also a ton of issues with the elevators and so it took a long time to both get on from the lobby and go down to the lobby throughout my stay."

"The check-in line only had 1 person. Took over 20 min to check in. Saw only one person behind the desk most times during the week. AC didn’t work and they couldn’t fix it. Had to switch rooms after the long check in. Very loud at the hotel. Numerous nights people would knock on our room door or call during the night. Would not allow you to use the cart to transport the luggage. Had to be done my the hotel."

"Once elegant now a popular spot, the hotel offers a great rooftop bar, a sun deck and pool for guests, a nice restaurant, an adequate workout room and lovely public areas with music, seating and areas for conversation or relaxing. The guest rooms are New York small, with furnishings decades old, pealing wallpaper, strangely set up sinks with the facet too close to the basin so they spray up, showers that get the floor wet and limited room amenities - no coffee makers."
