One of my favorite stays ever! I can’t say enough positive about this property! High marks all around; including, great workmanship throughout! This added to a very relaxed feel! The surrounding property is nothing short of gorgeous and peaceful. The room was top-notch! Staff was wonderful. The bar is fantastic, and the dining was excellent! The surrounding town was beautiful too!

We spent two very comfortable nights with a modern room and bath, nice breakfasts, and one nice dinner. The inn is in a tiny village with a picturesque ruined castle and church nearby, close to Stourhead and Longleat.

We love historic places to stay at. The George fit that perfectly. The room was full of charm and character. Modern it is not, but we knew this going in and we expected what they delivered. The restaurant serves delicious food. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We would absolutely stay there again given the chance. Thank you, The George Inn, we had a wonderful w experience.

Good place to stay

Staff were very polite, helpful, and nice. Hotel was charming and rooms clean with nearby shopping and an excellent breakfast to order with stay.

The inn was beautiful. The location is perfect. It is right outside Bath, next to the horse racecourse. The room was nearly brand new which was both good and bad. The good was it was spotless and well maintained. The bad was the radiator wasn’t working the first night so my son was shivering all night. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful the room with spacious and clean and we slept very well because it was very quiet the location is excellent as a 10 minute walk right into the city center the breakfast is one of the best we've had

Close to everything in Wells! Easy to access transportation to Glastonbury as well. The hotel staff was great, room was charming and cozy.

Beautiful hotel, with fantastic gardens, exceptional rooms & service. We were lucky enough to have a large room on the third floor with gorgeous views of the gardens & hills in the distance.

The location was excellent and was within easy walking distance to the historic center of Bath.

David is a saint! It was like staying with family if family isn't overbearing or meddlesome. And it's a super comfy bed. The location is about 10-15 minute walk into town center or the entrance to the Chalice Well or footpath up the Tor. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Lovely property, a bit too far for me from the center of Bath, through an area that did not feel quite safe later in the evening. Otherwise, a lovely property, good value for the cost
