"The stay at the cottage was good. It is positioned on a busy road but it quiets down later at night. There is a shop at the petrol station that has everything you will need for the stay and close to bus tops to take to Ambleside and Windermere. The beds are on the soft side but not uncomfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped but he had to buy paper kitchen towels, bin bags and dishwasher tablets. All in all, our stay was great. We would stay here again. "

"Our stay at Elton’s Escape was lovely. The caravan is nicely decorated with a cosy, welcoming vibe, and its location made it perfect for visiting Ambleside and Windermere. "We were a family staying with our dog for a Lake District break. This home is really well located for the shops and cafes in the centre of Windermere which are a 1 minute easy walk away. We could also walk down to the Lake on nice walks in 15/20 mins and walking into Bowness which was about 1 mile. The property is spread over 3 floors and 3 shower rooms/toilets was a great bonus. Hot tub worked really well and was a nice treat and parking for 2 cars (1 off street, 1 with a residents permit)....

"I always check the cleanliness of bedding when staying away from home, and two of the three beds were found to be damaged. The support slats for one single bed were either missing, broken or unsecured, and the frame of another double was broken and a pillow positioned on top of the frame to help support the mattress.
