"We had the best stay at this gorgeous lodge, it is spotlessly clean, modern and comfortable with all the things you need - including 3 hairdryers, washer, dishwasher, all kitchen bits and bobs etc. the outside space is amazing and our kids loved running around the wrap around decking having so much fun"

"Excellent central location. The staff were helpful especially in reception and spa. The dining staff were efficient but less cheerful than one might expect in an establishment like this. Breakfast was plentiful but uninspiring. Luggage drop off was difficult due to heavy vehicles blocking the hotel entrance. The plumbing made a loud vibrating noise for 10 minutes after each toilet flush. The shower had excellent pressure and hot water. The room mini fridge had the internal light hanging down and the fridge didn’t appear to work. The hotel has old world charm and despite the small foibles mentioned above is a good accommodation option."

Lakeside 15 – Stunning Lodge on White Cross Bay, Lake Windermere (No Pets)

"Very positive: The location for exploring the Lakes was excellent. Convenient bus stops just outside for trips in either direction if public transport preferred at times. Only a short stroll from the lodge to the lake and small marina, which was lovely as was the peaceful woodland walk on site. Lodge was spotless, spacious, comfortable and had everything we wanted, so this is why I have rated it excellent. Not quite so positive: On arrival, when we saw the state of the rotten handrails around the balcony by the front door, and the nearby unsightly overflowing large bins (only emptied and moved away into the actual bin area on Friday) I have to say it did not give a great first impression which was a pity, as once in the lodge we found everything else to be of a high standard, and had a most enjoyable holiday."

"Fantastic base for our holiday - perfect location. The track to get to the retreat is quite steep but a good size parking space when you get there. Lodge was clean, tidy and had everything you need to spend a fabulous week in the Lakes. Will definitely return as soon as we can! And thanks for sending us the beautiful weather as well"

"Nice place, right time of the year. Cabin and hot tub were excellent. The shared pool leaves a little to be desired for young kids. Especially those who may not be confident in the water. I would go back and stay in Lodge 15 Langsdale again. Short trips in the car gave great views of the area and loads to do. "
