Great overnight stay for us. Dinner was amazing and so was breakfast. Made our "Favorites" list (only 2/2 in all of the UK).

Just needs to be better signage directing people where to go to check in. Other than that it was a great experience.

We stayed here for our 25th anniversary. They treated us well. We'll definitely be back.

The Lion Inn was one of the most charming Inn's I have stayed in. The rooms are charming- you approach yours as if it is your own little cottage. Inside, they are cheerful and bright and have the latest in sleeping accommodations and amenities. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The pub is wonderful, The cuisine is delicious and contemporary, and the servers are lovely and efficient. The Inn is located near the Grade I church of St. Oswalds, -a two-minute walk away. This was our first night in our UK trip and was arguably the best place we could stay to introduce us to this country. Our room was small but the stone walls and lovely decor made it feel simultaneously rustic and contemporary. The bathroom was well designed and had a wonderful shower that was just what we needed after 15 hours of travel. The bed was a dream, I haven’t slept that well in a long time. Perfect location (two minute walk to daughter's house); excellent breakfasts, particularly the porridge; fun pub downstairs, loved a cappella rehearsal.

The room was clean and as advertised. Would definitely stay there again if I returned to Wrexham.

The location was perfect!! Right near the historic race track and city wall and a block or two from town center! Loved the ease of the keyless entry and the well appointed room and lobby...

This hotel was a bit of a surprise. The set up looks more like a motel and we were concerned there would be noise from the parking lot but it was fine. Our room appeared recently renovated and was very well thought through & appointed. No complaints! The restaurant sits right on the river and has a wonderful breakfast so be sure to sign up for that. Lovely view & you can watch boats go by while dining. Lovely, helpful staff. We were very pleased and would be happy to stay again.

Super friendly welcome by the hosts. The room was large and comfortable and we really enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the horses. The pub in the village was about a 5 minute drive away and was fantastic.

Everyone was very friendly, great sized rooms with kitchenettes, large bathrooms. Sadly very large variability in pricing when there are events at the racecourse. I understand if course, but price tripled when there was an event.

Clean room, nice open air pavilion, great location.
