"Little place to stay. Good location to reach Box hill and Dorking. Friendly staff, locals are dining. Standard room (Epsom) has view to the roofs/inner yard/other houses, so I suggest to get better room for the view to the church. Default selection for Breakfasts. "

"The staff were very friendly and the room was beautiful but it was on the same level and overlooked the beer garden, so I think that this could be a problem in the summer. It also had an interconnecting door, which meant I could hear my noisy neighbours very clearly!"

"Ideally situated for an overnight stay if walking the South Downs Way. Excellent Sunday lunch - we could understand why it was popular! The Landlord was very helpful in providing the best route to re join the South Downs Way the following morning. Unfortunately the nearby cafes were not open for breakfast on Monday - The Green Welly doesn't open and The Nutmeg doesn't open on Bank holidays! We resorted to buying two baguettes from The White Lion and having them for breakfast and lunch!"
