"An amazing property in an amazing location. Set in the middle of farmland this Sussex Timber Framed House is truly unique. The whole history of the land and property are documented from 1245 both in book form and on the walls of the entrance porch. Filled with original beams and woodwork, inglenook fireplaces and furnished to compliment the age of the building but with modern day living taken into account. An amazing bedroom with vaulted ceiling and modern en-suite bathroom. A lovely kitchen...

"Difficulty in finding property. Needs sign at entrance. Very dangerous exiting drive onto lane. Needs a mirror opposite to show lane both ways. Lodge and rooms very small. Trip switch overloads if you use kettle and use cooker same time. However, my tel contact and personal contact with the gentleman owner was very convivial. "

"We stayed to extend our trip to Glyndebourne with some short walks. The cottage is perfect for this, it was great to have a short journey after Parsifal. We had a very good meal at The Jolly Sportsman, followed by a stroll along local paths and lanes.The cottage facilities are great, our only reservation the limited height to the eaves upstairs. "

"The house is really poorly soundproofed. From inside and outside. We took only ons shower there. We had warm water for 1 minute and then it went to very cold water. We wouldn‘t recommend the accommodation for a longer stay. We stayed there for 3 nights."
