The negatives - some important shortcomings were - there was only one toilet roll for booking of a family of four for 3 nights, the extractor in kitchen was not working, coffee pods were useless because the water reservoir in the coffee machine was not working."

"Big house with great sized rooms and plenty space for our 15 adults and 5 children. Hot tub was great. Living space/bar area very roomy and open. The owners were very flexible with the Sunday checkout times which was nice of them. The kitchen is a professional kitchen (for the weekday BnB purpose I guess) so not quite the social space that you're used to in a more traditional house. "We traveled from California to explore the Lake District but when we entered the house which looked out over the property and a lovely creek we did not want to go anywhere. It was peaceful, quiet and serene. The house has everything you would want and is tastefully and beautifully decorated. Rebecca and Phil were wonderful, and communication was great, even with an 8-hour time difference. If we lived in the UK this would definitely be a property I would go to often! "We really loved this place. There are not many places that I think the experience of the property is better than the photos but I really think that this is the case in this lovely place. We loved the spacious bedrooms and the underfloor heating in the kitchen was great, as was the fireplace in the lounge. It is always good to have a hot tub but this is a really nice size. "Staff at reception very friendly and informative. We had a beautiful view of the lake from our lodge and although we didn't take part it looked like there was lots of activities going on (this didn't disturb us) Our lodge was bigger than expected and clean Lots of cutlery and plates to use and a filter coffee machine which was a lovely touch. The property is easy to get to and a good base for exploring the area. "
