"The reception at the hotel was warm and friendly, the receptionist went above and beyond to ensure that two oldies had a room on the ground floor. The room was very clean and tidy and it was set up for disabled people, therefore it had a well appointed wet room, with emergency pull cord. There was also another emergency cord in the bed room which was pulled by accident, the response was zero, very poor if it had been a real emergency.
The, 'bun fight' for seating in the restaurant on the first night was unbelievable. The quality of food was good despite a very limited choice. It also came as shock that the main restaurant was closed on Sunday night.
What really let the place down was a general air of neglect, paint peeling, cigarette ends on the ground around the front reception.
Having said all that we felt that it was very good value, and we would definitely stay there again."
