"Staff were excellent. In the heart of filey itself, out of the door and straight onto the street with a variety of shops to please everyone. Breakfast was an add on price as was the parking. Downsides were the steep stairs to the room and a very noisy pub opposite. Would definitely stay again but for less mobile guests its not ideal. "

"We had the pleasure of staying here this weekend and whilst it wasn't a completely relaxing time for all, the kids were in a swimming gala, the location and property were spot on. Great communication from Vrbo and from the owner. The offer a later checkout was greatly appreciated. Our only slightly negative comment would come from my wife who struggled a little to get shampoo out of her hair due to the power of the shower. Otherwise amazing property and will definitely look to book again if we are visiting the Filey area. Cheers Nigel "

"Excellent apartment and well appointed with everything you could need. The main criticism is of the arcade they have there. Many of the things in there were not working such as the pinball, pool table, air hockey, grab games, and the penny slot ones had no rubber strips on some of them making them impossible to shove coins forward, so basically taking your money with zero chance of winning. It needs a complete revamp or closing totally "

"Check-in is 1700. Reception shuts at 1700 (any questions you need to ask in the pub, and they dont know) Broken window in single room. Workmen came to fix and left the room a mess (still not fixed on leaving). I moved the bed back from middle of the room as they couldnt be bothered moving it back. In urgent need of maintenance and a deep clean. Dirty towels from previous occupent in one bedroom. All wardrobes full of maintenance equipment (ladders, step, boxes etc) unable to use them. Shower room half painted. Sink and shower/bath dont drain. Young daughter couldnt use shower as temp too hot (doesnt adjust as knob broken) Kitchen - Dishwasher rocking forward and back. Suprised its not leaking.. Washing machine interior coated in black mould, DVD player not working. Swimming pool - closes at 1745 forget using it if you go for a day out (as you may well do on holiday!) Used pool only once as poolside, showers and changing rooms were very dirty. Doubt they have been cleaned recently. Make sure you wear something on your feet as you will catch something (its that bad) We wont be back again. "

"Two oldies' with our 5yrs old grandson. The cottage was very clean, comfortable, well-equipped and conveniently situated for shops and beach - though a steep walk coming back up! Considering it is so near shops, restaurants etc it was very quiet at night. We enjoyed our stay. The owner was very understanding when I told her we couldn't leave the cottage as we had found it as I had broken my wrist the previous day. Beware of seaweed-covered rocks at Robin Hood's Bay!! Would stay again."

"The property was in excellent condition and had everything we needed. Lovely touches such as welcome basket, branded towels and everything you needed in the kitchen / bathrooms. Great hosts and good communication. Would highly recommend. "

"We have stayed at a few of these rentals at the Bay and this one is by far the best. Absolutely lovely, and very clean with no doggy smell. We have dogs but hate that most places that are dog friendly have a doggy smell. The host was lovely and let us have an early check in so we could leave our luggage and enjoy our 1st day. It’s a lovely quiet place great for kids and adults alike. The location to the beach is perfect. We had an amazing time, thank you so much for letting us stay at your beautiful place."
