"This was a phenomenal hotel. I will most Definetly be staying here again when I come back. The breakfast is fantastic, the service is great, the cleaning is so wonderful. I wish I didn’t have to go back to America, haha!"

"The hotel is amazing—well maintained and offering great amenities such as hot spring baths, yukatas to wear around the hotel, a wide selection of bath accessories, and a shuttle service to the station. The only downside is that the staff dont speak English, but they genuinely try to understand you, and using a translator works perfectly fine."

"Great Onsen and bedrock sauna on 9th floor and outside tub and room very good. Breakfast and dinner included buffet style not very good but it is optional, not many options nearby. Located in a residential area, high on a hill overlooking the bay so good views but not convenient."

"absolutely loved my stay, from the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. The location is perfect — tucked into the trees near Momijidani Park, with a peaceful stream running right outside.
Everything about Iwaso felt authentic and special. If you want a true taste of traditional Japanese hospitality, this is the place to stay."

"A gem of a place. Stayed here at the end of April and the location and place were an experience. The dinner and breakfast were also excellent and we greatly appreciated the shuttle back to the ferry the next day. Highly recommend. "

We had the most peaceful, beautiful stay at Kenji's farm on Miyajima Island! First of all, incredible location. I can't imagine many other people would have a way to get to that side of the island, it was so remote. Ken was very kind and drove us to and from his farm, even stopping partway both times to show us beautiful views of the island. He also helped us pick some veggies for dinner and then we were left to enjoy the farm on our own. The house itself was beautiful and has...

"The staff are excellent at helping with all of your questions. The hotel is located only a few minutes from the town and there is a frequent (and free) shuttle can that can take you to/from the hotel. The breakfast and dinners at the hotel are great, featuring local fish and meats. "
"Absolutely amazing hotel. Wish we could have stayed longer. We had a G7 suite which was huge for the 5 of us. Large supply of amenities and the view was to die for. Access to the club lounge was a lovely bonus where we had complimentary food and drink until 10pm. The wharf behind the hotel took us straight to Miyajima which was a wonderful experience. The local bus runs from outside the hotel very regularly to transport you to and from the city. Loved everything about our stay. Highly recommended."
"Everything about this property and the staff was fabulous. We had traditional breakfast and supper that were prepared and served flawlessly. Every dish and bite was flavorful and varied. There was an incredible variety of flavors, colors and textures. We had supper served in our room and it was a beautiful personal touch, with the servers explaining every dish and we were able to enjoy it as a relaxed, easy pace.
We will absolutely be staying here again next time we come to Japan. "
"Staff was great. Polite and helpful. Amenities were great . Ocean view was mediocre due to we were on the third floor and the the ferry station was blocking most of the view."
"From the moment we arrived the hospitality of the front desk and the morning breakfast were great. Our room was super clean and as soon as we figure out on how to turn the lights on everything was great"
"LiVEMAX Resort Akimiyajima is conveniently located, just a short walk from the jetty. Despite being close to the arrival point, the ryokan sits slightly away from the main crowds, offering a quieter and more relaxed stay.
Check in was smooth, and the ryokan already had our Expedia reservations prepared. As with all traditional ryokan, copies of our passports were taken, and footwear must be removed at the main lobby before changing into the in house slippers. Our room featured a private onsen with a beautiful view of the O Torii, which was a highlight of the stay. Amenities such as coffee, toothbrushes, and combs were provided directly in the room.
Coin laundry is not available in the hotel. The nearest laundromat is located outside the property, just a short walk away. Electric bicycles are available for rent at the resort, at Y500 for 2 hours or Y1000 for a full day, making it easy to explore Miyajima at your own pace.
The public onsen areas are located on the second floor and include both an indoor bath and an outdoor pool with a deck. Free ramen is served on the second floor from 9.30pm. The restaurant and smoking room are located on level six, and there is a small snacks shop at the main lobby.
The ryokan is located just off the bustling Omotesandō Shopping Street, with plenty of food options nearby. Overall, LiVEMAX Resort Akimiyajima offers convenience, comfort, and a traditional ryokan experience with a memorable view of the O Torii."
