"I determined to book a hotel for my stay in Seoul to be a more local establishment and not some soulless high rise. I chose well. All the blogs were superlative and I see why they were persuasive to my own decision. The room was silent and conducive to sleep. The small cafe was delightful but could use a couple more items on the menu. The staff were attentive when required and excellent. The location is not a room with a view, but location location location. Absolutely bang centre of everything you would wish to see and you can walk to everything without need of public transport. I felt local by the end of my weeks stay, and miss it still !!! No hesitation in recommending Hotel Sunbee."

"I had a really nice stay at Hotel Gracery. It is a great four star option and overall a very comfortable place to be based in Seoul. The hotel felt well looked after and the room turnover was always done properly, which I really appreciated. I also liked the small thoughtful touches, like the eye patches and the bath salts, which made it feel a bit more special and relaxing after long days out. My room was on a higher floor and had a lovely view towards Gwanghwamun Square and the road leading up to it, which I genuinely enjoyed. The reception team were kind and welcoming throughout my stay, and the hotel itself is in a very convenient location. It is well positioned with good transport links and close to most places I wanted to visit, which made getting around very easy. The only downside, and the reason I am giving four stars instead of five, is that the level of English spoken by the staff was not always strong enough. There were a couple of moments where I did not get the answers I was looking for, which was a bit frustrating. For a hotel in such a central and tourist heavy area, I would expect a higher level of English at reception. There was also an occasional unpleasant smell in the bathroom, although I understand this can happen in Seoul due to older piping in some buildings. Overall, it was a cool and convenient place to stay, and I would still recommend it."

"It was a clean room withe everything you need. At the elevator, you can find water fountain so you can start the day ready to explore the city. The location is perfect, close to the metro station but still calm enough so you can rest"

"Ok 7 night stay. Staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was nice, and everything was very clean. It’s also in a good location with a lot of attractions nearby. However, the room and hallways were pretty worn and the hotel is generally in need of refurbishment. The rooms are also very hot and they won’t or can’t turn on the air conditioning properly so instead they give you a room fan. I would definitely not recommend staying here in summer. The gym is small with limited equipment, but probably similar to other hotels of this size."
