"Overall we loved our stay and would like to call out how lovely the majority of the staff were. Shamara initially checked us in and she was super helpful, polite and welcoming. Whislt we were there many of the staff (including Ivanna, Enrique and many others) were always so polite and smiley. It makes such a difference. We had a lovely taxi driver lrganised by the hotel named Michelle, she was great and reccomended lots of sightseeing opportunities/ things to do. 100% would reccomend the tirtle snorkelling at Green Island as tbis was a highlight. The food options were great and every other night there was entertainment which was nice. "

"From housekeeping Adele, to front desk team and bellman to Jermaine and Denise at the restaurant and Derek at the bar and EVERYONE in between, they made our trip memorable, enjoyable, relaxing and fun! We love the resort. The staff go above and beyond. This was a return trip for us we loved it so much last time and they did not disappoint the second time around. Thank you Cocobay family! "

"The rooms, amenity, staff and oh yeah coffee shop and Outpost BBQ were awesome. Every public space and rooms were clean and well maintained. Only issue was limited beach towels/replenishment. Maybe a check/in towel exchange would be better. Other than this six andys seven nights was awesome."

"So overall if you want a quiet relaxing vibe with good food this is the place to stay. Positives -Price point was very reasonable vs value -Food was arguably the best I’ve had at an all inclusive -most bartenders were good, shout out to Andrew who always killed it. -The pool itself was a great size -pool loungers/beds were very nice -The women at the check in are pleasant and helped book our stingray trip which was cheaper than online. -Balcony was nice Negatives -The shower water had a mind of its own and went from alternating boiling to ice bath, played with it enough to have it be usable -The beach needs to be raked it wasn’t useable with all the seaweed, once a week at the least would make the world of difference -There should be some kind of spread for between lunch and dinner, with it not being a buffet there should be real snacks/fruit not random breads. -There should be some kind of activities, we left the resort a lot because there was nothing to do. Overall if your going for a couple days and just want to eat good and Rot on a sunbather than this is 100% the place for you. If you want something lively with some activities then this is the exact opposite."

Hodges Bay Resort & Spa, an HQ Luxury Resort & Residences

"5 star potential but not there just yet! The resort is beautiful and with some attention to detail could be even better. The room we were assigned was gorgeous but no cleaning service unless we called to request. There was a coffee shop on site but hours of operation TBD. Once we inquired they made sure that Davina was there each day with a smile making great coffee. Our initial butler never checked on us past the first day but once we were assigned Craig he was awesome and went above and beyond to make our time at the resort and in Antigua a wonderful one. We wanted to love Prickly the private island but unfortunately it was infested with ants to the point we were not comfortable enjoying lunch there. The main pool was closed during our stay but the infinity adult pool and bar area was lovely. I'd like to thank Jaheim at the front desk and Shane the bellman for their hospitality during our stay. We look forward to visiting Antigua again soon."

"The seaview rooms were amazing with a lovely view of the beach , and few steps away fr beach. They had a lovely infinity pool so cool ! The staff was very friendly especially Niceey and Marie, Egbert the cook and the restaurant manager Amit was so special, sweet and professional I wanted to take him home with us ! Beaches were spectacular to say the least and rustically beautiful. The food was pleasantly surprising and offered many fresh and different options every night. Chill place to relax and enjoy the nature and miracle warmth of the island and its people . I would go back and I would also recommend!!!! "

Royalton Antigua, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort

2/10 Terrible

"No life guards on the beach ever. Beach food shack ran out of buns at 1pm and closed for the day. Cafe/icecreambar was empty every day. Restaurants are not actually available 7 days a week. Antigua governor and staff showed up and shut down the main buffet to “tourists” forcing them to sit outside in a back corner with pans on hot plates&only like 7options. Power went out in our room multiple times every night. Pool has tiles melting away causing hazard. No handle on outside balcony. Sports bar hands you a menu then you go to order and they tell you oh we don’t have that and only actually have 2 items total on the whole menu. Also not very wheelchair accessible throughout resort. Also staff locks the bathrooms near the pool all day so they don’t have to clean them. Terrible service and out of all royalton resorts I’ve been to this is the most disappointing. Only serves bread and pasta pretty much when the buffet is actually available. I could say more but I’m running out of space. This is truly embarrassing and awful. Save your money."
