Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa

10/10 Excellent

"This resort was immaculate and beautiful. The views were stunning. They have two pools one is for kids the other is both adults and kids but most little ones were at the kid pool. We attended the luau and it was great. The only downfalls and it wasn’t terrible was the beach. There was limited room. We always walked down to the better beach. Not that far though. The valet parking was slow. Once they lost our car and they were not very helpful. It got better, but we also learned to call ahead for the car. We had the best time! Food was good and people were friendly!"

Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows

"First and foremost the Royal Lahaina staff is PERFECTION! Everyone was always positive. Positive is an umbrella and every word you can think of to go under it describes the staff. Our partial ocean view room was a compete combo of RL garden view, ocean view, and rainbow view! Our shower had worse water pressure than a dollar store spray bottle but after I mentioned it was positively fixed! The bathroom door was a solid wood pocket door that didn't lock (b/c the lock didn't match the door frame. I smashed my index finger b/c it was so heavy it got away from me. (Thank you New Skin for keeping it sealed.) The flat top lights in the outdoor restaurant are a bad interior designer choice. Birds. ...birds... The food menus should be in the room with the magazines. Being from Oregon, we love that the cans/bottles have the 5cent return and they are collected!! Best for last; Our first night dinner, Kara was our waitress. She made our hearts smile and filled us with her positive. Kara will forever be remembered as an important part of our family's once in a lifetime vacation!"

Wailea Beach Resort - Marriott, Maui

"This is a great place to get away for R&R. Very low key. Water slides close at 5 pm. Small beach. But the awesome pools make up for it. I'm glad I stayed here but wouldn't recommend staying here the whole trip if you want to get out and experience Maui. So I was glad I stayed at multiple locations on Maui on my trip the first time at Maui. Kaanapali beach area was awesome. So much to do there versus Wailea. Stop by Sugar beach bakery and the near by food trucks. So good. I mostly enjoyed the rest that day and cascading adult only pool. They provided complimentary reef safe sunscreen and banana bread."
