"The ratings would have been higher had the property paid attention to critical service issues that were identified and brought to their attention. I was in room 553 and complained from the first day of an unpleasant odor emanating from the drains (face basin, tub, and shower) in the bathroom. Instead of moving my reservation to a different room, they just removed the caps of the drain, stating they cleaned them. That was far from the truth; we instead had to deal with the unpleasant smell for the duration of the entire stay. Vacationers, please beware of that room."

"I would highly recommend Sunrock Guesthouse for anyone needing accomodations near JNB airport. The guesthouse is located five minutes away. The rooms are very clean and modern. The bed was very comfortable. The entire property was spotlessly clean and well maintained. The property had a cozy feel to it, as the pictures suggest. The staff go above and beyond and the food was excellent. I had trouble with lost luggage which required a additional trip back to the airport and a long wait by the driver, the guesthouse was helpful in this regard l'm happy to say. I would recommend Sunrock to single travelers as well as families."
