"Lovely hotel at a reasonable price. Room was large and very clean. Bed comfy although on the soft side. Good WiFi, nice bathroom with good quality toiletries. Excellent breakfast included. A bit of street noise but not bad. Effective curtains. Room could use modernising so that plug sockets are easier to access. Nice staff. Excellent location on main square, 5 minutes walk from railway station with lots of places to eat/drink within 10 minutes walk. Would be very happy to stay here again "

"I very much enjoyed my stay at Hotel Chamade. The room was nice sized, clean, and the bed comfortable. The hotel is about a 4-5 minute walk to the main St. Petrs train station, which also has tram stops for two trams that will take you to the southern edge of Ghent's city center. This made it convenient for a day trip to Bruges by train. We did not elect the breakfast at the hotel, but there were three bakeries on the way to the train station to pick up something to eat on the way. If I visit Ghent again, this hotel would be my first choice. "

"Totally fantastic (nearly perfect) hotel! Location is amazing, breakfast is truly exceptional, bar has great food (not "bar food", great food!). The look & feel of the entire hotel is great, and the service is first class. I was here for business but would like to come back and use this hotel as my base to do daytrips to Lille & Ghent (only 20 minute train rides), and Bruges & Brussels (each only one hour train rides."

"L'accueil a été parfait, l'hôtesse m'a accueilli avec bienveillance ma chienne et moi. Le petit-déjeuner est complet, sucré salé, et régulièrement rechargé. Leur jardin est juste exceptionnel, avec potager, petite mare, et même un poulailler. La situation de l'hôtel est au calme et idéal. C'était ma première fois et certainement pas la dernière. "
