"Booked this place for the location and how many pools they had. Didn’t know until we got there that the largest pool was under renovation and completely out of service. Not the end of the world but this made the other 2 pools (combined they were the size of the 1 that was closed) more cramped. Then I booked an ocean view room. Always do. Only to find out when we get there that the beach access is closed due to the awful smelling seaweed (sargassum) that is washing up. Again, not the end of the world but it smells gross! Overall, stay was relaxing but could’ve been better. Sheets always felt like they had sand in them after the cleaning crew would come in and make the bed up so I always had to wipe them out before we got in for the evening. Older rooms but you can tell they are trying to renovate and make them nicer/newer. Overall pretty happy with the place"

"This place was very clean and tried their best to accommodate you. Fun Happy Hour & Quick Tasty Breakfast with good coffee. Our room was very spacious and had everything we needed. The location is perfect. Just a few steps and you are on Duval and a few steps the other direction and you are on Whitehead St, which has the Green Parrott Bar and multiple dining options"

"Location is great. Right on the waterfront by the harbor. Check in went well. Needed help with getting our luggage to our room. The doorman would only assist with getting us a mobile cart to load our own bags and transport to our room which was a bit of a trek. The building we were assigned to was ‘next door’. The resort needs to offer a shuttle or cart to assist with luggage. Was disappointed there was no help. Also there can be a cruise ship docked right in the way of the sunset viewing, although they are usually gone before the sun goes down (summer). However Mallory Square is right next door and has great views. Pool was nice, a little small but on par for Key West. The topside bar area is a great place to watch the sunset. Nice giveaways at the pool, ice cold water, free sun screen lotion, ice cold cooling rags, free eye glass cleaner and wipe cloths. The room was very clean and bed very comfortable. Nice robes and slippers! Did not eat at the hotel as we wanted to experience several places in Key West that were recommended."

"The Ridley House is beautiful and full of old world charm. Large bedrooms and great location. Breakfast each day was fabulous. Not your typical continental breakfast! We stayed in room 6 with a front balcony on Caroline St. Within the first 5 minutes of us being there, we locked ourselves out of the room, on the balcony b/c the door locks automatically when it shuts! Luckily some passersby were able to get the front desk to help us and it was just a funny story after that. We noticed the ear plugs on the side tables due to the roosters crowing and they weren't kidding. We discovered some of them roost high up in the trees, level with the balcony, and sing their "little" songs all night long! Also, another funny story to tell about one of our trips to KW. I would stay at the Ridley House again, but perhaps a room farther away from the road. Ha"

"This place was in the perfect location. It is located above The Smallest Bar on Duval Street. We walked out of the gate on to Duval. It was very clean, spacious, and wonderful hosts! They went above and beyond to make us comfortable. If you book this property, you won't be sorry!"
Heart of Downtown Key West Cottage With Off-Street Parking

"The whole place was spotlessly clean. The host was very easy to contact at all times. Parking was a dream, with off road parking right in the centre of things, but with easy access in and out. The air conditioning was easily adjustable, if a little noisy. With a lot of the attractions within a 15 minute walk we were ideally located. Internet and tv access were great. A two minute walk to the Route 1 marker post, we must now try and get to the other end!Would I go back, in a heart beat. Thank you for allowing us to share your little piece of heaven."
