"There were numerous things that were misleading about this property on booking. The major issue being the 4th double bedroom was downstairs in the garage. Exposed to the cold, far away from others in the house and we were unable to use it as a bedroom which made sleeping arrangements difficult as a party of 8 (2 families). "The view of lake Wakatipu from the property is stunning. There is a long stairs to the property that may not be suitable for the eldery with limited mobility. The spiral stairs to go up to the loft bedroom is very narrow and may be unsafe for small children. The house was hotter than the sauna when we entered. We would have given a 5 stars rating, if the air conditioning was turned on prior to our arrival. "

"Great location however it was the only bonus. Cleanliness just hit the par, appliances also just hit the par. However couches and overall decor was sub par with big tears in them. Bathroom facilities were also underwhelming, shower not suitable for taller people. As said, location is one of the only things going for it aside from parking. "We had a fantastic stay at Mercure Resort Queenstown! The staff were absolutely amazing—warm, helpful, and always ready to go the extra mile to make our stay comfortable.
