"Property is beautiful. We were not there to golf, but the golf amenities were great. Nice location to quickly get to the tram to go into Edinburgh. Much bigger hotel than I realized. Our room was on the top and south facing. Room got really warm. The little fan in the room was not enough to cool things down much. Restaurant food at night was really good. Standard breakfast fair was good. Over all our experience was fine."

"Staff were very helpful, location is stunning and room was comfortable. Even in the heat, we were provided a fan and the pool helped cool us down. Travelled with a 1yr old and helped so many times, it was hard to keep track."

"Having parking was a huge benefit, the high street does get busy so knowing it wasn't going to be an issue is great. The breakfast was lovely, nice amount of choice and the full cooked breakfast was huge! We didn't get a chance to have a coffee in the cafe but the homemade cakes and biscuits looked delicious. Check in and check out was smooth and quick. We were in room 86 and the windowsill needs a bit of maintenance and the room could do with a freshen up but the room was clean and the bed...

"The property is beautiful and well maintained. The staff were extremely helpful. Dining in all three restaurants was superb. We would definitely go back. The Falconry experience was amazing. Just be aware it is not run by the hotel but it is on or adjacent to the grounds. A two minute walk from the lobby."

"Everything was clean. I loved my room. It’s not the most updated place in the world, but it had its own charm. It’s warm and inviting. The staff was great, and had good suggestions for tours. It’s kind of a pain not having anything nearby. No convenience stores or coffee shops. You have to take a train or Uber. I tried the connected restaurant twice and did not care for it. "Lage, Lage, Lage trifft es wohl am Besten. Man kann von hier in 10-20 Minuten z.B. Haymarket oder das Zentrum erreichen. In der Umgebung sind einige nette Pubs und Restaurants und bei An- und Abreise hat man es nicht weit zu Flughafen oder Bahnhof. Die Zimmer sind in Ordnung und preislich passt es auch. Uns haben die Zimmer in den oberen Stockwerken besser gefallen, aber das ist Geschmackssache."
