"The hotel was clean, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The pool area, bar, and restaurant were all very nice, and we enjoyed both dinner and breakfast during our stay. However, there were several issues that made the experience disappointing. When booking through Hotels.com, the only option available was a jacuzzi suite, which was more expensive. Upon arrival, it appeared that other rooms were actually available, which made us feel like we were pushed into booking a higher-priced room unnecessarily. The room itself felt very claustrophobic, with only a small vented window and no proper exterior window. The layout also raised safety concerns, as it required navigating a long hallway with no clear or quick exit in case of an emergency. The biggest issue was that there was no hot water at all—not for the jacuzzi or even the shower—which made the main feature of the room unusable. Additionally, the room lacked basic functionality: there was nowhere to hang or store clothes (no hangers or closet space), only two hooks behind the door, and just a single chair and a small table. The loveseat in the room also had visible stains. Overall, while some aspects of the hotel were enjoyable, the room itself and the lack of hot water made the stay disappointing."

"Lindo hotel pero lastimosamente se dieron algunos incidentes con otros huéspedes problemáticos y se suponía los habían hecho irse del lugar y para sorpresa ahí andaban. La única persona súper amable en recepción y que resuelve es Rachel. Indican que se puede tomar hielo y cuando mi pareja se disponía la única vez a ponerle a 2 vasos lo regañaron entonces? No hay reglas alrededor de la piscina o no las hacen cumplir como por ejemplo botellas de vidrio, parlantes con música full. En el tema Pet friendly super bello que puedan andar por todo el hotel los perritos (lástima que no hacen una mini pileta para ellos habiendo tanto espacio) comida deliciosa y los cocktsils."

"We stayed in Bella Leona apartments that definitely need updates (broken blinds, leaking flush valves, old mirrors, etc). The apartment complex was outside (around 1/2 mile) and it wasn’t easy to communicate with the staff when we needed, so be aware of that if you’re thinking of booking this apartment. On the other hand, the resort is amazing, the staff is cordial and happy. It’s clean, the amenities are great and well maintained. The activities available are great (butterfly garden, guided hike and workout in the pool). It’s almost 2 hours away from the airport. It was easy to drive there, but make sure you enter in ‘Leona beach club and resort’ entrance because the GPS indicated a non-paved road and wasn’t fun at all. The food in the restaurants are good and not that expensive. They even have a grocery store in the resort with the same price range as the outside grocery stores. In this resort you will be in touch with nature and it’s amazing to wake up with the sound of birds, seeing the macaws, iguanas and raccoons. The beach is clean, no waves and warm water (we visited the hotel in April). Overall it was a great experience."

"The staff was the ABSOLUTE BEST!!!! The room was gorgeous. The food was great as well. I’d definitely give Crocs a 10/10. Their staff makes it even more worth staying. They were extremely accommodating with every ask I had. Thank you for an amazing stay. "

"Bellísimo hotel, nuevo, seguro, staff atento, servicial, bien ubicado cerca del centro, habitaciones confortables, piscina fabulosa, vuen restaurante, desayuno delicioso y excelente Happy hour. Cuando termine las renovaciones esperamos que en un futuro puedan tener parqueo privado, ascensor, nevera y máquina de hielo. Definitivamente vuelvo y recomiendo altamente."

"The room was implacable and all staff have been extremely friendly, polite and very attentive. The food was varied and very nice every day. Good list of cocktails and the bar staff would also happily give you something that is not on the list or make all the twists you asked for, and they would remember you even though the resort was very busy. Didn’t use the parking so cannot comment on that. We had a perfect 8 night stay and would very happily return to the resort. "
