"The staff at reception were faultlessly kind and helpful. The building has maintained its history in the public rooms. The bedroom was very clean, a comfortable large bed and fully equipped bathroom. The hotel was located quietly away from the busy shopping streets but within a short walk of Place du Verdun, Le Marche and the old port. Would highly recommend for a stay in beautiful La Rochelle"

"We booked the junior suite and it was very comfortable and roomy. Was not expecting to see individual plastic toiletries which were fairly basic- no shower cap. Was expecting glasses for drinking instead of paper cups. Glasses were provided upon request. Plugs in sinks not working and reported. Shame there was no tea/ coffee provided in room as with other French hotels. Staff were excellent and really helpful in all areas of our stay. Perfect location for the old harbour. "

"The hotel is in a lovely location but not car friendly, staff were lovely. lots of stairs not for older people. View from the front windows (where we were) was fab. Just need to think hard about your parking before you go"

"1 night stay on travels across France. Once you find the hotel you enter into a courtyard. The room quality was good. Hotel nicely laid Out and facilities. Only 10 mins walk to anywhere. A great park within 5 minutes walk "
