"My stay at the Terra d'Amuri was great. The location is perfect within easy walking distance of the Duomo and the beautiful old section of Catania. "This is the best apartment I stayed in during my trip to Sicily. Fabio's apartment was in the perfect area for my stay. The view was amazing, the terrace was incredible, the king size bed was really comfortable. As soon as you step out onto the street you are immersed in the vibrancy of the main street of the old town. Fabio was a really nice host, he helped me with lots of tips and information. "Relatively clean aside from dirt on floors and the white stain on the couch. Biggest issues were: * consistent strong sewage smell in main bathroom, bordering on nauseating. * Cheap soaps * pillows were horrible. Like a rock. * bed was angled in middle -- like sleeping in a burrito * no instructions on entering -- building door key did not work well, had to play with it for 10 min to figure out how to make it work. Also took a while to figure out the entryway lights for the building, etc....

"Very disruptive stay. Toilet not working, hosts had no sense of urgency. How disappointing the communication and service has been from management company/host offers its guests when it comes to concerns or issues. "Palazzo Sangiorgio was spectacular. We booked the Grand Suite and were very happy with the decision. The appointments, decorations, bathroom, and bed were all top quality. The service was exemplary. The location was on a quieter street about a 5 minute walk from the main square, so we were close to multiple dining and shopping options. We loved our time in Catania and wouldn’t even think about staying anywhere else when we come back. "

"The hotel is within easy walking distance of the airport bus stop if you haven’t much baggage. It’s very close to the metro station which is one stop from the train station. This was very convenient for me since I used Catania as a base to explore Taormina and Siracusa. It is around 15 minutes walk from the duomo and main tourist sites. The restaurant behind the hotel had live music outdoors but it was quiet by 11 pm. The breakfast buffet was very good with a fine array of choices. Management was very prompt in replying to queries on WhatsApp. Highly recommended. "
