"This place is amazing. After walking down the stairs, you see the most incredible rock house with built-in spa, open concept living/dining areas, and truly incredible bathroom with heated seat and great shower. We loved spending family time together in this memorable location. If we had more time, we would have enjoyed hanging out in the gazebo over the river. Very excited to return someday."

"This house is truly one of a kind. It felt like stepping into The Croods (the movie)—living in a cave, but an incredibly luxurious one! The kids said it was like being in a fairytale and were genuinely sad to leave. Tucked away by the river and off the beaten path, it had everything we needed for a magical stay."

"We loved the property. We spent a lot of time watching the colorful and interesting birds from the patio. The views are amazing and the house very clean. We didn't want to leave!"

"A beautiful home. Our problem was we had no phone service so unable to use what’s app to contact the owner and the people who looked after the property spoke no English. We were unable to get Wi-Fi and had no television."

"Came to Turrialba for the Canyons- but fell in love with this place. The deck was incredible, great place for mornings- watching the Tucan, watching the clouds roll by all from a comfy chair. The hot tub was a rare novelty. I spent time in other cities in CR, but this place is incredible. Absolutely will be back!"

"Our stay at Mario and his families place was exquisite. We will definitely recommend his property for future stays. One issue that has gone unresolved is with VRBO. I was charged extra fees that their helpdesk representative could not justify. When opening a ticket with their helpdesk to have the issue resolved, they closed the ticket without any follow up or reason for the extra charges. "Wow, what an incredible slice of heaven. Feels like you’re a million miles away from civilization. Waking up to the sounds of the birds in the morning, dinner with Gregory (host) and sitting on the porch in the evening were highlights of the stay. "This is a great place, but there’s a couple of things you need to know before renting.First, if you can’t tell from the pictures, only the bedroom and bathroom are enclosed, the kitchen is completely open – no screens. "This home is gorgeous! The kitchen has all the plates, pots, pans, accessories we needed for the final stop in our 10 day trip to Costa Rica.
