"Loved our unplanned stay in this VERY dog friendly hotel just oozing with old school (!) character and in such a fantastic location too just minutes from both the castle and the town centre. I did see some reviews mentioning tired room, old bathrooms etc but certainly the room we had was excellent. Very nice bed, big powerful shower and the dog loved his own dog bed and treats in the room. Such a nice touch and the staff were all friendly and welcoming too. We arrived late and didn't have much chance to plan something to eat. Breakfast was very nice though and overall it was an excellent stay"

"The rooms were very clean, a great shower and the bed and pillows extremely comfortable. Then you have the location..it was perfect for walking all over town and to the sights. Highly recommend."

"The Caledonia Suite at the Wallace Monument lived up to its billing: it’s a delightful space affording terrific views of the nearby Monument. It’s a compact yet perfectly formed space which proved perfect for our 3 nights stay. Tastefully and freshly appointed with many homely touches. The hosts at Juniper Rentals could not have been more efficient or attentive and we considered the Caledonia Suite a real find .. one to which we hope we might return."

"A gem of a hotel with excellent facilities. Rooms are very spacious well decorated and modern. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive. Food is well presented and tasty. The bar and restaurant area are very spacious with a mix of modern and original features."

"The Powis House Lodge is a refurbished older property that is quirky yet well proportioned. The beds are comfortable and the hot tub is excellent. The rental is good overall however some attention to small details could improve the stay, such as kindling or fire starters for the fireplace or an information book containing directions (location of switch for towel heater etc). The location is convenient for visiting sites and the combination of the hot tub and the fireplace make for a relaxing end to the day. "

"I wouldn't say this is not a cottage. It's more than that, and better. This unit is one of two, attached to the estate withprivate entrances/exits, all very nice. You have permission to walk around 75% of the grounds and you can eat ripe apples or any fruit that's ready. The town, restaurants, groceries, and tourist attractions are all short drives. Enjoy. "

"This was a well located and appointed flat. We didn’t realize the intersection was so busy. But happy to report like others have, we had silence each night, just in time for for sleeping at night. :) the beds are comfy. Be prepared to busy some of your own spices if you plan to cook.We had really timely response and support from Fraser and Ben and their team! Recommend this property, ease of parking nearby and convenient location for all you want to see in Stirling!"
