"Had a great stay and would go there again without a doubt. Nice staff and a very nicely remodeled property both inside and out. When some places paint the walls, they say they have remodeled, but Equus really put forth some effort and money in their remodeling. Sliding glass shower doors, modern sinks, a very comfortable bed, and a beautiful courtyard. My wife and I have not seen an older hotel that this much time and effort was made in the remodeling. We will stay there again if we pass through this way."

"Shower curtain was tattered and torn and mildew in the bathroom sink. Everything else was excellent! Will always be back when in the area."

"Was a little disappointed in the fact that they did not have a breakfast served tried going to the bar dining area. They did not know how to make a dirty martini. I got no olives and they had no milk in the little food place so that my husband could at least have cereal in the morning before his nine games that he played for three days there. Other than that it was good."

"Hotel was great except for the staff that cleaned our room didn't make sure everything was in working order. Front desk responded immediately to fix the problem. Walls are a little thin but wise fine for 1 nt."

"I enjoyed staying at this authentic Floridian hotel, steeped in history and old-world charm. However, given the price point, I expected a little more luxury and refinement. The property feels somewhat tired in places. I appreciate the challenge of balancing historic character with modern comforts, but unfortunately, this hotel hasn’t quite found that sweet spot. A charming experience, but one that could be so much more."
