Lakeview Hecla Resort

"The staff were very helpful and lovely! The chairs in the room were stained. The windows were super dirty especially on the outside with webs and bugs and debris. The bedsheet had a hole. The lights hanging beside the beds were hard to turn on, they had to be tugged on hard. The washroom light was the same and was broken tilted to the side and loose. The bathtub water was a rusty brown colour. It didn’t run clear at all. The toilet door would not close, it kept sliding open on its own while you are in there. The spa staff was very rude. The water in the pools and hot tub seemed well maintained and was very enjoyable and relaxing. Although the pool and hot tub needed lining fixtures that were sliding. Cosmetically it looked rough and outdated. There was a snakes shedded skin in the one in front of the outdoor restaurant & the ponds looked unkept. There were construction signs on the walking paths stating not to walk there, so we could not walk to the beach area or for a small hike as we planned. Overall this property is extremely neglected. It is not a place people would return for a second visit. I predict they will close due to a safety inspection soon and sell to a buyer that cares about maintenance. I think most people would be grossed out!"

"We truly enjoyed this cabin. It was perfect for our family. The only thing that would have been better is if it would have had a view of the water. We absolutely loved the screened in porch. We started and ended each day on that. Would definitely recommend this place to others!"

"Our stay here was very relaxing and the accommodations are very good. Everything we needed was on hand and the spot is close to the beach by walking or food stores by driving.Highly recommended spot and we will likely book here again."

"The property was nice inside, spacious and well kept although there was nowhere to hang towels in the bathroom to dry and the bathroom tissue roll was coming off the wall. Beds were comfy and the pine finish inside is very nice, as well as a new kitchen and bathroom. Outside the landscaping wasn’t ideal, backyard was small and the fire pit had been seemingly fallen on and broken by a previous tenant and what looked like a plastic lawn chair melted on to it. To make this a 5 star rating I would recommend some nicer deck furniture and maybe some flower planters, and cobweb clean up. It was a perfect size for family with 1-2 kids."
