My host family took me to Lake Takerkoust (its dam powers all of Amizmiz and Marrakech) for a hike. Up here, you can see the entire floodplain and the river tributary that flows into the main lake. Far away on the other side, you can see a motorbike riding across the dirt road as if a speck of dust was slowly floating across space. As we sat and ate our picnic of fruit and veggy sticks, I couldn't help but wonder how much more Morocco is than just its stereotypical perception, a desert.

"This property was beautiful, clean and in a great location. Unique architecture and beautiful attention to details. The staff is incredible and made us feel very welcome. We enjoyed the hands on cooking class and spa treatments. The breakfast in the mornings was a perfect start to our day and dinners were delicious. We would definitely stay again. "
