The apartment was thick with dust along the skirting boards, inside the wardrobe, the patio door had dead flies and dirt in both corners and a cobweb in the top right hand side of the door frame. A dirty ear plug was left on the patio. The bedding was badly creased both the sheet, pillow cases and duvet. The smell of the apartment was fusty. The work surfaces in the kitchen had been rubbed. "Good location amazing views of Quay and out to sea. Good base for easy walk into town etc, access definately better for older childen and those with no mobility issues as steep narrow external staircase as advised by owner. "

"This was our 3rd stay at this property and once again it didn’t disappoint. The apartment is very clean and has all that you would need for a break away. It is situated in a beautiful area, out of the town but close enough to walk.We were very lucky with the weather and so most mornings we had breakfast on the balcony watching the world go by.The only downside of the apartment is the steps but after a couple of days you don’t notice how many there are. Also helps to burn off the extra calories...

We had a lovely room overlooking the sea, with views extending along the coast and over to the ruins of Camelot Castle. the staff are excellent, and as we were leaving, we got the chance to meet Ted, the wonderful artist who lives and paints at the Castle. "We loved the atmosphere of the Alverton and its grounds. There was plenty of space for parking and the reception was only a short walk. The rooms we had were very well presented and very clean. I have marked down on the eco credentials as all the lights and television were on when we arrived which wasn't necessary. The terrace was a great place to sit in the late afternoon for a pre-dinner drink. At times the bar staff were talking to each other rather than looking after customers needs but they were always polite. We ate dinner the first night of our stay which was delicious and at a reasonable price. Breakfast was very good too. I would recommend this hotel to my friends."

"All of the staff were very friendly, yet professional. When I rang to say that it was my friend’s birthday, Maisie was able to recommend some lovely lunch venues. And, when we arrived she, and the other staff wished us a happy stay, and they had decorated the room for my friend. They made our stay special!"
