"We loved our stay here beautiful hotel lovely views over the lake The staff here are amazing especially Santiago who was so helpful and looked after us We had welcome drinks which was a nice touch Breakfast was amazing you have a choice of a few items really lovely We ate at the restaurant one evening was great and the service was amazing Our room was fantastic and had a terrace looking over the lake Very clean room great shower We would definitely recommend this hotel it is only a tuk tuk ride away from The rock and the colourful town the hotel will call a tuk tuk for you Love to come back one day Wish we could have stayed longer when we left we were given chocolates as a thank you for staying there nice touch "

"Room has a bad smell to them. We are told that it’s the water that is used to clean the rooms, they stink when dries and it can’t be helped "

"The view from our room was amazong. The hot tub in the balcony was great. The room has everything we needed. A well stocked fridge (extra cost). Huge and comfy bed. The breakfast buffet is amazing and the staff is very friendly. Transportation to and from The Brown is very easy. I highly recommend this hotel. It was only my wife and I, but we saw families with kids, but I would recommend it for a romantic getaway. "

"This was a quaint little place, just a 5-minute walk across the bridge from the center of town. The rooms were decent-sized, spotlessly clean, and the bed was very comfortable. My room had a terrace overlooking the garden area. The bathroom was large enough to move and shower, with plenty of hot water. The hosts were available and friendly, and the breakfast was quite sufficient, and served with a smile. "

"Very difficult to enter. Address is incorrect on ALL advertising. Front door AND back door is locked after a certain time in the evening (we were stuck inside for more than an hour until someone finally came). Won't stay there again."

"The hotel is no where near where it is advertised, the listing shows it right in Guatape and a 3 minute walk to the square. It is a 30 minute walk to the square! The hot tubs never had water in them. The staff was unfriendly and barely acknowledged you when you came and went. When we got off the bus we walked to the advertised location to discover it was not there, it took at least a half an hour to find the hotel location and another half an hour to walk there. FALSE ADVERTISING!"

"This hotel is rated three stars but it is pretty basic. The room is barely 10x10. We stayed 2 days. Pros were the staff, Sandra was wonderful, and our balcony and room view of the lake. What was unexpected was: the bed was basic, not great for my back, and we were only given 2 pillows, a sheet and a simple blanket. There was no air conditioning, only a standing fan, the shower was rudimentary, and only one small table and a combo hanger/shelf. Breakfast was simple, and as with a lot of hotels, egg heavy. Lastly the walk down to the room would be tricky for persons with ability issues. But if you're ok with these basics then this is a safe option."
